In our school, we organized various events to ensure that our students are aware of their own rights and the rights of all children in the world as part of World Children's Rights Day and World Philosophy Day, and to raise individuals who are sensitive to inequalities.
We read and discussed the book I Have the Right to Be a Child with our 1st grade students. Our 3rd grade students designed posters on the concept of "Rights" and children's rights, while our 4th grade students prepared posters by reading the Declaration of Children's Rights.
In addition, within the scope of Kindness Week, we drew attention to the importance of spreading kindness and courtesy to every moment of life with the slogan "Kindness is Contagious!" We hung reminder posters in our classrooms and our students shared the behaviors they exhibited in guidance classes with the "Kindness Calendar" study.
These events were an important step towards our students becoming sensitive individuals by providing them with empathy and social awareness.
