Grade 2 English Raises Awareness to Animal Protection
4th of October World Animal Day was celebrated at İzmir SEV by the Grade 2 students under the leadership of their English teachers with various engaging and informative activities that aimed at raising awareness about the basic animal needs throughout the week of October 10 -14.

Make a noise for Animals
During the Monday flag ceremony, the Grade 2 students recited a chant titled; Make a Noise for Animal Rights which was accompanied by a group playing the drums. This was a symbolic message for speaking up for the animals’ rights.

SEV Radio
The Grade 2 students started each morning with their broadcast in English over the PA system. They read their poems and shared some important information about animals.

Bookmarks for Grade 1
Grade 2 students handed over the bookmarks that contained information on basic animal needs in English with their friends in Grade 1 following a presentation on the first floor middle area. The Grade 1 students were very happy to watch this presentation with powerful messages and receive a nice bookmark.

Animal Protection Week in the Library, Grades 1-4
As the library teachers, we celebrated Animal Protection Week with students from Grades 1-4 in the library last week. Students voluntarily came to  the library on their lunch break to learn all about animals and caring for them.
Our  aim was to teach and review research skills and students used a variety of media to complete the Animal Protection worksheet. Students worked together to find answers to different questions as well as identify various animals and how to care for them. It also helped to familiarize the younger students with the type of resources that we have available at the library. It was a lot of fun and everyone is looking forward to next year!
