Grade 4 – 7 students watched the rendition of a modern version of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet on February 28th performed by the international Cloud Theatre Company. Some SEV students took part on stage in this interactive musical performance and the audience actively participated by supporting either the Montague or the Capulet families and deciding on the ending.

The students completed the prestudy of the performance in their English lessons where they learned new vocabulary and studied the plot. The activities aimed at developing the students’ skills in four areas; reading, writing, listening and speaking.

The students enjoyed the performance greatly and are already looking forward to watching next year’s performance.
