Today technology enables us to connect with the students at schools in different parts of the world to conduct collaborative projects that help our students to learn about, tolerate, and respect different cultures and perspectives as global citizens. In their English Language Arts lessons this year, the grade 7 students will be participating in an international collaborative project called “the Norwegian-Turkish Friendship Project”. Our partner school in Norway is Byremo Ungdomsskole. The goal of the project is to give students in both countries a chance to get to know eachother and learn about eachother’s lives and cultures. Because the exchanges will take place in English, the project will also give our students a chance to practice their language skills in a fun and engaging way. In order to say “Hello” to our Norwegian friends, our 7th grade students  started by creating some videos. Their objective was to introduce themselves, our school and/or Izmir, Turkey. Here are a few of the videos we shared with Norway on the eTwinning Platform. Enjoy!
