230 Poetry Project During this project, students experimented with 6 different forms of poetry. Each student wrote an Alphabet Alliteration poem, a Colour Poem, a Haiku, a Cinquain, a Concrete poem, and a Free Verse poem. Some of the poems had very specific instructions, and others allowed students to be more creative. All students produced beautiful and unique poetry! Cınquaıns Cory Kempling Neal Cooke Damla TEREK During this project we learned about different types of poems. We learned Alphabet Alliteration. In this, we chose a letter of the alphabet and wrote poems using words that begin with that letter. We learned about Color Poems. For this, you need to think of a color that we want to write about and the things that the color reminds us of. We also learned how to write a Haiku. For this type of poem you need to count syllables, so it’s fun to do! Then we learned how to write a Cinquain. For this poem, you need to write a 5 line poem. We need to choose a subject and describe it, then you write what the subject does, after that you need to express a feeling about the subject and then you need to find a synonym for the subject. We learned how to write a Concrete Poem. In the end, we wrote a Freestyle Poem. It was a fun activity. I love to write poems.
