263 Alp ÖZTÜRK This year we did a project called “The Book Cover Project”. It was really fun and a little challenging for me. I got the chance to recreate the cover of the book “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”. In the beginning, I thought that this project wouldn’t be that complicated. What I ended up doing was much more. I firstly wrapped the body of the book with white paper sheets. Then, I started to draw the goblet and wrote the title. I carefully drew the goblet dot by dot to not make any mistakes and if I did, I could easily erase it and draw it again. Next, I traced over the dots with a black pen. Later after finishing the front cover (and of course reading the book), I answered the questions about my book. Lastly, I added my final touches to the spine of the book, wrote my blurb, and decorated the back cover. My project looked really neat when I finished it. In conclusion, the project was fun but a little challenging for me. Simla ÖZER This year in our CE class we did lots of different projects. One of the projects that we have done was the “Book Cover”. In this project, we firstly choose a book that we wanted to read and we read it. Then we made a new book cover that gave information about the book. The information that we gave was: Author’s name, book’s title, illustration, publisher’s name, the blurb, quotation and price details. We were able to do this easily after we filled out the questions and charts about what we had read. When we finished filling in the charts we glued it into the inside of our book cover. Lastly, we made some decorations on our book cover. When we finished everything about our project, we turned it in to our CE teacher Mr. Ward. While I was doing this project I learned how to organize my work and how to make a book cover. Also, this project has developed my reading. Because of this, I liked this project.
