266 Beliz YÜREKLİ In Hydroponic Project, we designed our own hydroponic system. We first learned, then explained how a hydroponic system works. We explained why we believe this system is special. We even drew the picture of our own custom system. During this project, I learned all about hydroponics. Just so you know, hydroponics is the practice of growing plants without soil. Normally you need soil to grow a plant, however, with hydroponics you give all the vitamins that soil usually gives in water. Additionally, I learned that it’s way cheaper than normal plant growth. Cheaper, healthier, recycles – can’t get much better. I enjoyed this project so much. We had a chance to use our English for something real and something that is actually working. I am really excited about the next step, growing and using our school’s system. This project just prepared me for it. Now that we learned the basics of the hydroponics. I am really excited to see my plant grow. Zeynep HEPKORUCU In the project, we got a chance to explain a special agricultural system. To do this we first researched, then answered some questions about it. After that, we put all the information neatly together on colorful cardboard posters. What surprised me the most while researching this was that hydroponics only uses water to grow instead of soil and water. Also, it uses 99% less water than normal soil using systems. Isn’t it really surprising? Probably, that’s the reason why we can count hydroponics as one of the best agriculture systems. From this project, I had little enjoyment but I learned so much. Personally, I would have liked to do this as a group but I probably wouldn’t have learned as much. This was a really nice project. Mira ÖZOK For hydroponic system project, we chose a world problem that we wanted to find a solution for by using a hydroponic system. I chose hunger, I thought we could put some plants in the streets so hungry people can eat those plants whenever they wanted. By using a hydroponic system we can grow plants with water and not worrying about soil. At the end of our project, we explained what a hydroponic system is, the world problem that we chose, how we will solve this problem, and we drew a picture of our own system. I enjoyed the hydroponic system project because I had a chance to make my own system and because I worked so hard to find my solutıon. Arda ÇATALKAYA In the hydroponic project, we researched what a hydroponic system is. Then we all found a world problem. For example, I chose world hunger and everyone chose their own. Next, we found a solution to it by creating our own custom hydroponic system. Finally, we made a model of our hydroponic system. I learned how to make a model hydroponic system and I learned how a hydroponic system works and looks like. I think it looks interesting even though it looks very simple. This was a good project. Defne KOPARAL In our CE class, we did a project titled ‘Hydroponic System’. The idea behind the project was to show people how hydroponic system works. For this, we first wrote what it is (a method of growing plants in nutrient-rich water instead of soil). Then, we chose a world problem, I chose people dying from hunger. I chose this problem because I think it is important. Next, I created my solution, people should use more hydroponic systems to create more food. My system was so easy and simple that everyone can have one in their house. This was our project and where I learned how hydroponic systems work. I liked this project so much. It was awesome!
