269 Doga BELET In this project we wrote a story by first learning how to write a spooky story. We also learned how to be a good writer. From what I had learned I was able to create a story that looked good, interesting, and was a scary horror story about a haunted house. In the end, we presented these stories. In the story there were 2 people who went into a haunted house. Then they got trapped inside and were not able to come out. After a series of events one of them was killed by a ghost. A few days later, the other person…. No spoilers. Overall, I had so much fun doing this project and I did a lot of good work. Tibet TÜREÇ In the spooky story project, we wrote a scary story about anything we wanted. Only two requirements, it had to be scary and it had to have a picture. I wrote about a lockdown at a school. In the school, there was a murderer. A kid wanted to go to the bathroom while the lockdown was happening. When he went to the bathroom he comes face to face with the murderer. The rest is for you to read. I learned that sometimes when I write too fast I make many grammar mistakes. I hope in the future I write more carefully. I really enjoyed this project and I hope we will do more projects like this again. Yiğit ÖZKAYAGAN This year in Core English we completed a project called “Spooky Story”. For this project we made a blueprint of our story over a couple of weeks. It was astonishing, because while it was troublesome to make, we all had fun. I wrote up a new Star Wars story. It was 3 pages long. The title of my story is “The Murderer of The Spaceship”. It was fun to write my story because I wrote about a topic that entertains me the most. I love that we had this freedom. Let me share my story’s best part which is at the end of the story. “Cody and his friends could see the explosion of the Venators-Class Star Destroyer. Everyone was pretty sad about Max. They were really confused. Then they landed on Naboo. They saw the sunlight. In front of the sunlight, there was Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano, who both greeted Cody and his friends with a slow “Hello” . Tamay AKSU This year in Core English class we were asked to write our own Spooky Story. In this project we had to write a scary story with four or more paragraphs using a good beginning, middle, and end. When we were finished with our story writing, we drew our own cover picture for our poster. We finished by recording our voice, reading our own scary story. I tried to do everything that I was asked to do but mostly I focused on my content, my punctuation, and my grammar. My story titled “I am Cold!” was about a girl who lives at the North Pole. In this project I learned not to give up after I made a big mistake in my story. I had to rewrite my entire story again to fix my various mistakes. In my first lesson I learned to write it again. In my second lesson, I learned to understand and learn from my mistakes. This is what I did and what I learned from this project. Here is my favorite part: “Since then nobody has walked near that house. Twenty years passed and sometimes we see smoke coming out of the house. Some villagers say that the spirits of Jinora’s family are still in there. I guess they died in the storm because the weather was so cold and the storm’s speed was 19 km per hour. I think their souls are imprisoned in their own house.” The goal of this project was being able to write a complete story with a beginning, middle and end. We needed to be able to use a correct story writing with the correct nuances. This was a hard project but I did have a very good time completing it.
