144  S E V E C E N 2 0 2 0 Emine Tutku ÖZBAYRAM Hi! I’m Tutku from 5C. I would like to talk about one of the writing tasks we did in our Core English lessons. We learned how to write a compare and contrast paragraph. We talked about the introduction, body and conclusion parts of the paragraph. We compared and contrasted rules at home and at school.We used a venn diagram to brainstorm and organize our ideas. Our teacher Ms.Göknur helped us improve our ideas and thought us how to draw a venn diagram. I really enjoyed writing! Behiç Ender YORGANCILAR Hi, I’m Ender. In one of our Core English Lessons, we wrote a compare and contrast paragraph. First, we drew a venn diagram and organized our ideas. Then, we wrote a huge paragraph comparing and contrasting rules at home and at school. I had fun doing it! I will never forget that lesson. Today, I can easily compare and contrast things in my life. In our lessons, we focus on how to express ourselves effectively in a well organized paragraph. Writing a compare and contrast paragraph was only one of the writing tasks our students were asked to complete.
