170  S E V E C E N 2 0 2 0 Ceren URGA So far, we did many projects in our Core English classes and my favorite one was Mission to Mars. For this project, we imagined that we were archeologists on a mission to Mars. We discovered an ancient alien civilization! First we learned the traits of a civilization and completed a booklet. We answered questions about the alien civilization. We wrote about their culture, rulers, language, biggest cities and religion. My civilization’s name was Ka Ua. In the end we created a storyboard and an animation. I had a lot of fun doing this project. I believe you would have enjoyed it too! G lce URGANCI Hi! I’mG lce. I want to write about our Mission to Mars project. M2M is my favourite project so far. In this project, we imagined that we are famous archaeologists doing research on an ancient alien civilization on Mars. My ancient civilisation’s name is Ancient POPCORN. The capital city is Popyork. Sounds funny, doesn’t it? In order to do this project, we had to do a lot of research on ancient civilizations and their traits. I really liked this project because I got to use my imagination. I did a lot of brainstorming and improved myself so much. Also, I learned a lot about Ancient Egypt. I want to thank my teacher Ms. Göknur for this project. This project was amazing! Alya NACAROĞLU I really enjoyed M2M (Mission to Mars) and I learned so many helpful things. I think that everybody learned a lot of things about ancient civilizations and even more things about Mars. It really helped me to discover more about Mars and I became better at Science about Mars. l also learned more things about archaeology. This activity was also so exciting! We really enjoyed this fun activity. We really appreciate our teacher Mr. Cooke for teaching us really well and making things fun in the first term. Thank you, Mr. Cooke for every activity and lesson that you have done.
