S E V E C E N 2 0 2 0  19 Talya DEDEKÖYLÜ This is my second year in JMUN and VALMUN which took place in Valencia, Spain was my fourth conference. On the first day, I was really nervous but it didn’t last long. VALMUN was a bit different compared to the other conferences I’ve attended in Turkey but it was really enjoyable. On our first day, we toured Valencia. Our guide, Mr. Burc informed us on the history of Valencia. On the other days, we were at the conference. We had a party, played games and did sports. Also, we had debates on world issues. On the last day, we went to the United Nations Support Base. It was an amazing feeling. I was so proud to be there. I got the ‘Most Improved Delegate’ award. It was so honorable to be there and to represent my school and my country. I’d like to thank my friends, teachers and the American School of Valencia. Naz GÜVEN My name is Naz and I’m in seventh grade. This is my second year in the JMUN club. This year we went to Valencia and it was a great experience. VALMUN is the first international conference that I’ve participated in and I hope that it won’t be the last. On my first day at the American School of Valencia, I was so nervous but then I started to feel much more comfortable. In committee sessions, I tried to talk as much as I can and ask questions about the problems. I made many friends at VALMUN. All the activities and committee sessions were awesome. On the second day of VALMUN, there was a party and we couldn’t stop dancing. It was amazing. We had our last committee session in United Nations Support Base. It was great being there. I loved VALMUN so much. I had a perfect time with my friends in Valencia. I tried my best in committee sessions. It was an amazing experience for me.
