190 S E V E C E N 2 0 2 0 Robin Can TÜRK In Classcraft our teacher Ms.Tirasin prepares quests for us.The quests are all different and they are about what we are studying in the lessons. For instance, we have had quests about Greek Myths and about Holes. In the Quests we try to find the locations on a digital map. When we complete the work at one location, another location opens. In the locations the assignments can be all sorts of things. For instance, they can be Kahoot, Quizizz, Quizlet or other challenges. The best one is the boss battle because you can win some cards but if the boss (Mrs. Tirasin) wins you can not win any cards. Your cards can be exchanged for prizes or powers at the end. For instance, you can win permission to eat in class once or listen to music during quiet project work. You can only use your cards in one single lesson so you have be careful! However, if you are very good at these quests you can win a lot of cards. The best part is doing quests because the rewards are very good. I hope we can play Classcraft next year too! Taha Kerem EVREN In the Classcraft game that we are playing with the Gamemaster (Mrs. Tırasin) I am a MAGE. I am playing on a team. My teammates are Ali and Arhan. Ali is a WARRIOR and Arhan is a HEALER. The Mage is wizard. He has a lot of AP (action points). Ap helps me to do magic like eat in class or have free time. If you are a mage, your health is not so high so you can die easily but your team healer can help you or if you die the warrior can help you too. The Warrior doesn’t have any AP but he has a lot of health points. He can’t die so easily. The Warrior has to help the other teammates because he is strong. If your teammates die, he can fight the gamemaster and win! His job is important! The Healer is like a helper or a doctor. If you have a problem you can go to him (or her). He has little AP but average health. He can help you in your quests. If you are a healer, you can fight and help too. These are the Classcraft Characters. Mert BÜBER In our Language Arts lessons we play Classcraft. Classcraft is a learning platform and a game. Our teacher posts homework and activities on the platform. If we do the activities, we earn points. With those points we can buy pets and armors. In Classcraft you are a character in the game. For instance, I’m a healer in Classcraft! In Classcraft we have five teams in 7D but in each of them there are 3 students. In each team there are three different characters; a Warrior, a Mage and a Healer. When the teacher (gamemaster) posts a mission, we complete it as quickly as we can because if we win the mission the teacher gives us a card! Cards are so important for the Teams because when we have collected 4 or 5 cards or more, we can buy “music magic” or “hungry hunter” powers. If we have a “music magic” power we can listen to music while working quietly. The “hungry hunter” power allows us to have a snack while we are doing our work! Points are important for us because with points we level up. We have 3 different kinds of points; Experience, Action and Health points. Only the Experience Points can be used to level up. You have to get those from the Gamemaster. My character’s health is 30/30. I’m on level three. I think Classcraft helps us learn about teamwork and it also helps us learn English! My favorite thing in Classcraft is doing Quests. Quests are like competitions with all sorts of activities. They are great!
