198 S E V E C E N 2 0 2 0 Alya KARADENİZ For Halloween our Core English teacher Mr. Ward arranged a day for us where we played a lot of games in the Balloon Court to help us better understand the American tradition of Halloween. After forming teams we went onto perform various events. First, my team and I went to do the bobbing for apples game, in the apple game we had to take an apple that was floating in water in a huge bowl using only our teeth. I was trying to take apple I found the game difficult because my hair was getting wet, eventually I was successful. In the second game we wrapped our teammate with toilet paper to make him look like a mummy, it was so much fun. Later we went outside and tried to sing a Halloween song and do other activities. We had a chance to wear silly costumes and were given a snapshot of Halloween which for me was a really good and a lot of fun. AN AMERICAN HALLOWEEN Students in their grade 7 had a chance to experience American cultural through a Halloween activity presented by their Core English teacher Mr. Ward. The students had a chance to boob for apples, do a mummy wrap race, and much more.
