S E V E C E N 2 0 2 0 201 Eyl l Durgut This first termwe made a project called “Spooky Story.” For this project Mr. Ward had wanted us to write a story which should really scare him. (Mine didn’t but anyways J ) When I first heard about this project I felt really excited because I LOVE spooky things and I have written spooky stories before. First, I struggled while finding a plot but after 3 or 4 lessons I found the best one for me. When all was said and done with the project I found out that I am good at writing spooky things. I can use the experience in real life if I want to become a writer or if I need to write another story someday. Lastly, let me share my favorite line frommy story: “Oh, that makes sense. Everything happened wasn’t because of the ghosts or the haunted house. It was all of us…” Ayşenaz GÖK In our Core English lessons we wrote our own scary writings. This project was very enjoyable for me especially when I started my final draft. I know I can use this information in real life, for example, if I want to write something like that again, I will be able to by using all of the information I learned during this project. I love every part in this project. It was really amazing. For this I thank you. Talya DEDEKÖYLÜ The first term of this year’s CE lesson were really fun and went by quickly. We have done a lot of projects and they were all fun, but I for me the best one was Spooky Story project. Why you might ask, well, it is because I love mystery, fear, and action. We wrote our spooky stories and drew some pictures for them. Our teacher Mr. Ward checked our story and if he found a little mistake we had to write it again. It seemed like we had to write our stories 10-20 times but when they were done, they were good. Next, we took our writing and placed them together with the photos we made so we could display them on our lockers. This activity was so fun and it developed our story writing ability.
